Greensboro Generals News Release

Greensboro, NC — The Greensboro Generals of the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL) have announced goaltender Jamie Hodson has been reassigned to them by the St. John's Maple Leafs of the American Hockey League. Hodson, a Toronto Maple Leafs contracted player, will dress for the Generals tonight, but is not expected to start.

Hodson, 22, was called up to St. John's from the Generals on November 29. He played two games for the Maple Leafs, going 0-1-0 with a 4.41 goals against average. Prior to joining St. John's, Hodson played six games for the Generals, posting a 2-3-1 record with a 2.64 goals against average and a .930 save percentage, which ranks fourth in the ECHL.

To make room for Hodson, the Generals waived goaltender Edgars Eihvalds (I-valds).

The Generals have three home games in three nights this week. They entertain the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies for a share of the division lead tonight at 7:00, and their in-state rival Charlotte Checkers invade the Coliseum for the first time this season on Thursday night at 7:00. On Friday at 7:30, the Generals host the defending Kelly Cup Champion Greenville Grrrowl on "Guaranteed Win Night," sponsored by Pizza Hut. If the Generals win on Friday, everyone in attendance will receive a free personal pan pizza courtesy of Pizza Hut. Ticket prices range from $10.00 - $17.00, with tickets as low as $8.00 for students and seniors. Generals Flex Plans for six, twelve, and 18 games are also available for as little as $50.00. Fans can receive season ticket and other information by clicking on the Generals team website, www.greensborogenerals.com.
