FRESNO, Calif. – Fresno Falcons players Kirk DeWaele, Cory Murphy, Kris Porter and Jason Weaver will be at University Medical Center from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. this afternoon to help deliver teddy bears to the children at UMC's Children's Health Center. The teddy bears are part of the more than 3,000 stuffed animals thrown onto the ice by Falcons fans and then collected at Saturday's game against the Long Beach Ice Dogs during the team's Third Annual Teddy Bear Toss.

"The Fresno Falcons have demonstrated once again their tremendous commitment to our community and the support of important programs like Community's Children's Health Center at University Medical Center," said Community Medical Foundation Vice President Rob Saroyan. "On behalf of the entire Community family, we are grateful to [Falcons President] John Tull, the Falcons players and their staff for allowing us to be part of their fabulous support system.

"The Teddy Bear Toss has grown bigger each season that we've done it," said Tull. "Saturday night was yet another example of Falcons fans giving their full support to an event benefiting a local community organization.

The Children's Health Center is located in Fresno at 4460 E. Huntington Blvd. on the corner of Huntington and Barton. For more information regarding the Falcons' visit, please call Brian Clark at (559) 281-4776.
