Everblades Acquire Kerestes, Johnston & Curry Recalled

Estero, FL - The Florida Everblades President/GM Craig Brush announced today that defenseman Jaroslav Kerestes has been acquired from the Louisiana Ice Gators (ECHL) in exchange for cash. Also, forward Marty Johnston and defenseman Sean Curry have been recalled by the Lowell Lock Monsters (AHL). Kerestes has seen action in 9 games this season in Louisiana and has registered 21 penalty minutes. The Presov, Czech Republic native will join the Blades on the road in Columbia, SC along with newly acquired defenseman Jim Verdule. Recently acquired forward Ryan Stewart will not be in an Everblades uniform until his immigration clears. Johnston is currently leading the team in scoring with 7-16-23. He is also ranked 5th in the ECHL in rookie scoring. Curry has seen action in 5 games with the Everblades this season and has registered 1 goal and 6 penalty minutes.

The Everblades travel to Columbia, SC to take on the Inferno on Friday night at 7:05 PM. Florida then takes on the Greenville Grrrowl on Saturday at 7:05 PM and Sunday at 3:05 PM in Greenville.
