Grrrowl Deal Forward to Pensacola

GREENVILLE, S.C. â The Greenville Grrrowl of the East Coast Hockey League on Thursday announced the trade of LW DAMON WHITTEN to the Pensacola Ice Pilots (ECHL) for financial considerations. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. However, Whitten will be sent by Pensacola to the Peoria Rivermen (ECHL) to complete a deal between the Ice Pilots and Rivermen that included future considerations.
After completing his collegiate career at Michigan State University, Whitten spent his rookie season (2001-02) with the Grrrowl and recorded 32 points in 64 regular season games. The Brighton, Michigan native also recorded 5 points in 15 playoff games on the way to the 2002 Kelly Cup Championship.
