Titans Ink Bergin and Schneider for 2002-03 Season

Trenton, NJ â The Trenton Titans Professional Hockey Team announced today the signing of defensemen Kevin Bergin and David Schneider for the 2002-03 season.
Bergin completed his rookie campaign last season splitting the year between Greenville and Reading. He netted five goals, four assists and 65 penalty minutes in 42 games last season. Prior to joining the professional ranks, Bergin spent three seasons in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League between Cape Breton and Shawinigan.
Schneider completed his four-year career at Princeton by captaining the 2001-02 squad on his way to a third straight All-Ivy honorable mention. He notched four goals, 14 assists and 20 penalty minutes last season for the Tigers. Schneider ranks second all-time in Princeton hockey history in goals by a defenseman with 17. Last season, he appeared in two games with the Titans registering an assist and five penalty minutes.
Bergin and Schneider now give the Titans 14 signed players for the 2002-03 season. They join defensemen Andy Hedlund, Jon Insana, Matt Libby, Jake Ortmeyer and Kam White, as well as forwards Syl Apps, Scott Bertoli, Jason Deskins, B.J. Kilbourne, John Nail, Roger Trudeau and Jeff Wilson. Full and partial season tickets are now on sale through the Titans' ticket office at (609) 599-9500. Single game tickets are now available at the Sovereign Bank Arena box office, all TicketMaster outlets, or charge by phone at (609) 520-8383. The Titans open their fourth season in the East Coast Hockey League on October 11th against the Richmond Renegades at 7 pm at the Sovereign Bank Arena.
