Utah Grizzlies News Release

West Valley City, Utah - Utah Grizzlies Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Jason Christie announced today that the team has signed center Trevor Baker.

Prior to this season, Baker played five seasons under Christie with the Peoria Rivermen, where he also served as the team captain. During the 1999-2000 season, the two were teammates, when the Rivermen won the ECHL's Kelly Cup.

*Jason always has a competitive team and he loves to win; as do I,* said Baker. *We have become very close friends over the years both on and off the ice, and I'm very excited to be here.*

In 55 games during the 2004-2005 season, Baker had 17 goals, 28 assists (45 points) and 114 penalty minutes. Over the last three seasons, he has averaged just fewer than 20 goals. In total, the Edmonton, Alberta native has played in 310 ECHL games tallying 82 goals, 117 assists (199 points) and 986 penalty minutes.

Baker will be in uniform Wednesday and Thursday when Utah welcomes Victoria to the E-Center for a couple of pre-Christmas tilts. Face-off both evenings is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
