
ECHL Names Another Gladiator Player Of The Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Gwinnett center Pascal Pelletier is the In Glas Co
ECHL Player of the Week for Dec. 12-18, marking the second-consecutive week
a Gladiators player has won the award.
The 22-year-old scored five goals, including four in a single game, and had
six points with a plus-minus rating of +3 in two games as the Gladiators
went 2-0-1 and moved into sole possession of second place in the South
Division.
The 5-foot-10 and 197-pound Pelletier scored a team-record tying four goals
and five points on Dec. 13 in the Gladiators 6-3 win against Columbia,
which was tied for first place in the South Division. Pelletier scored his
fifth goal of the week on Dec. 14 in a 2-1 shootout loss to Pensacola. He
was called up to Providence of the American Hockey League on Dec. 16 and
has four penalty minutes and a plus-minus rating of +1 in two games.
Pelletier is tied for the league lead with four game-winning goals and is
tied for second in the league with 18 goals while ranking sixth in scoring
with 30 points in 21 games.
As a rookie in 2004-05, Pelletier had 38 points (10g-28a) in 61 games with
Louisiana before being traded to Gwinnett on Mar. 23 where he had an assist
in six regular season games and two assists in five Kelly Cup Playoff
games.
The Labrador City, Newfoundland native spent four years in the Quebec Major
Junior Hockey League playing for Baie-Comeau from 2000-03 and for
Shawinigan in 2003-04, scoring 288 points (112g-176a) in 257 regular season
games and 44 points (13g-31a) in 39 playoff games.
On behalf of Pascal Pelletier, a case of pucks will be donated to a
Gwinnett area youth hockey organization by In Glas Co, the exclusive
puck supplier for the ECHL.
In Glas Co has donated over 12,500 pucks to youth hockey
organizations in ECHL cities since it began sponsoring the award in
2000-01. In Glas Co also donated all of the limited-edition pucks
that were used during the opening weekend and auctioned off for hurricane
relief.

Bayrack, Charlotte (4 gp, 4g, 5a, 9 pts) and Kevin Bergin, Florida (4gp,
3g, 5a, 8pts).

(Columbia), Tyler Sloan (Las Vegas), Brian Collins (Pensacola), Dean
Tiltgen (Phoenix), Steve Hildenbrand (San Diego), Trevor Johnson (South
Carolina), Matt Maglione (Trenton), Matt Craig (Utah) and Kurtis McLean
(Wheeling).
