TRENTON, NJ (December 20, 2005) - The Trenton Titans announced on Tuesday that left wing Mathieu Brunelle and defenseman Stephen Wood have been assigned by the Philadelphia Phantoms (AHL).

Wood, 24, recorded eight penalty minutes in two games for the Phantoms this past weekend. The 6'3", 215-pound blueliner from Massachusetts currently leads Titans defensemen with 11 points (3g, 8) in 23 games. A second-year pro out of Sudbury, Massachusetts, Wood played four years of collegiate hockey at Providence College (2000-04).

Brunelle, 22, registered two assists in two games during his first call-up of the season. In his third-year of professional hockey, Brunelle is tied for the Titans' lead in goals with seven and ranks second with 17 points (7g, 10a). A seventh round selection (201st overall) of the Philadelphia Flyers in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft, the Warwick, Quebec native has compiled 94 points (45g, 49a) in 123 games with Trenton.

The Titans host the Wheeling Nailers on Wednesday, December 21 at 7:00pm.
