Las Vegas, NV - The Las Vegas Wranglers (19-4-2) beat the Long Beach Ice Dogs (13-11-3) 5-4 in a shootout in front of 4,958 fans at Midnight on Monday. Wranglers' forwards Matt Dzieduszycki and Dan Tudin each had a goal and an assist in the win. Goaltender Marc Magliarditi made 28 saves, including three of five shooters in the shootout, pushing his record to 12-4-1 on the season. Right wing Thomas Bellemare and center Chris Stanley also scored as Las Vegas improved to 11-0-1 at home and 12-0-1 in their last 13 games played. Captain Mike McBain registered two assists as the Wranglers extended their team-record winning streak to eight games. The Wranglers head to Long Beach to face the Ice Dogs on Wednesday December 21, at 7:00 pm.

In the first period, Chris Stanley scored the first goal of the game, giving the Wranglers a 1-0 lead. Ice Dog's defenseman Steeve Villeneuve scored his fifth goal of the season, tying the game at one. Three minutes later, Cory Urquhart tallied to give the Ice Dogs a 2-1 lead at the 16:15 marker. Wranglers' left wing Dan Tudin scored a shorthanded goal at 18:01, tying the game at two. Ice Dogs' forward Mac Faulkner scored thirty-seconds later, giving Long Beach a 3-2 lead at the end of the first period.

Just thirteen seconds into the second period, Long Beach winger Justin Aitkins scored to give the Ice Dogs a two-goal lead. Las Vegas winger Thomas Bellemare scored his second goal of the season at 9:46, bringing the Wranglers to within one goal at the end of the second period.

In the third period, Matt Dzeiduszycki scored a power-play goal for Las Vegas, tying the game at four and forcing overtime.

After a scoreless overtime, the Wranglers scored on three of five shooters in the shootout to win the game 5-4.

Las Vegas returns to the Orleans Arena after Christmas Day on December 27th at 7:05 pm to host the San Diego Gulls. On Friday, December 30th, the Wranglers host the Utah Grizzlies at 7:05 pm, the first 2,500 fans will receive a Duke windup toy compliments of Cox Communications.
