Bergin Runner-up in Player of the Week Voting

ESTERO, FL - The ECHL announced today that Everblades forward Kevin Bergin was named runner-up for the In Glas Co ECHL Player of the Week Award for the week of December 12-18. During the past week Bergin notched eight points in four games.

The 24-year-old began the week with a pair of assists in Florida's 7-1 win over the Augusta Lynx on Dec. 14. Bergin followed that up with two goals and an assist in the Everblades 8-6 loss at Charlotte on Dec. 16, then chipped in two more assists on Dec. 17 at Columbia in Florida's 4-3 overtime loss. The native of Montreal, Quebec finished off the week with a goal in regulation, and the deciding goal in the shootout of the Everblades 4-3 shootout win at Charlotte on Dec. 18.

Since being acquired by the Everblades in a trade with the Las Vegas Wranglers on November 8, Bergin has notched eight goals and 12 assists in 18 games. Overall this year, Bergin has collected 22 points in 22 games between Las Vegas and Florida.

The Everblades return to action Wednesday, December 21 when they host the Pensacola Ice Pilots at 7:30 p.m. from Germain Arena!
