Utah Grizzlies News Release

Stockton, California - Utah Grizzlies Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Kevin Colley announced today that the team has signed defenseman Chad Morin to an amateur tryout agreement following his career at Harvard University.

Morin joined the Grizzlies this afternoon in Stockton and will be with the team tonight when they visit the Thunder at 8:30 p.m.

"He played with Patrick Kane and all the other United States stars on the US National Under-18 team, so he's come from a great program and is obviously a smart kid," said Colley. "We got lucky that he was available. This time of year you can't play shorthanded as injuries add up and the organization is backing us up and allowing us to do what we need to do to get the job done."

Morin, 21, is six-foot and 200 pounds and had three goals and eight assists for 11 points in 29 games with Harvard this year.
