Daniel Steiner Returned To Reading

Reading Royals News Release


Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League and the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League, today announced that forward Daniel Steiner ["STINE er"] has been loaned to the Royals from the Rochester Americans of the AHL. In separate transactions also announced today, the Royals (i) activated forward Marc Cavosie from the 7-Day Injured Reserve; (ii) transferred Bryan Ewing from the 3-Day Injured Reserve to the 7-Day Injured Reserve; (iii) placed Ben McLeod on the 3-Day Injured Reserve; and (iv) granted bereavement leave to forward Chase Watson. Steiner, an eleventh year pro from Bern, Switzerland, who began the season with the Royals, was loaned to Rochester on December 18, 2009, where he signed an AHL Standard Player's Contract and registered twenty points (6g-14a) in twenty-seven games with the Americans. Steiner, who was riding a three game goal scoring streak for Reading when he was loaned to Rochester, has registered at least one point in seventeen of the twenty-one games he's played for the Royals (11g-19a30pts).

The Royals return to the Sovereign Center tonight (Saturday, March 20, 2010 @ 7:05 pm) where they'll face the Johnstown Chiefs for the last time in team history. The Royals game night broadcast on the Royals Radio Network presented by Transmissions by Arbogast will begin at 6:35 pm.
