The Situation

At 6-3, the Grizzlies remain off to their best start since joining the ECHL in 2005. Utah has played six-straight one-goal games and seven of their nine contests this year have been decided by one goal.

Six-Gamer For Sanford

Utah defenseman James Sanford leads ECHL defensemen in scoring with three goals and eight assists in eleven games. He also leads ECHL defensemen with 34 shots. Sanford goes to Alaska with a six-game scoring streak with two goals, five assists and a plus-five.

Another Hot Grizzlies Scorer

Dennis Packard has three goals and three assists in his last four games for the Grizzlies.

Games First Goal

Utah is 3-0 this year when scoring the first goal in a game.

Allowing Goals

The Grizzlies have allowed three goals or less in six of nine games this year, going 6-0 in those games.

Among The League Leaders

Through nine games, the Grizzlies have the second-best power-play in the ECHL, converting at a rate of 22.6-percent. The Grizzlies also enter the week fifth in the ECHL averaging 3.44 goals-per-game and second in the league averaging 38.11 shots-per-game.

Into The Wild: Part One

The Grizzlies make their first of two scheduled trips to Alaska this weekend. Utah returns to the Last Frontier for games February 27 and March 1. Utah went 2-1 in their only trip to Anchorage last year with three games spanned from December 28, 30 and 31.

Next At Home

The Grizzlies open a five-game home stand Friday and Saturday, November 21 and 22 hosting Las Vegas at the E-Center in a rematch of last year's conference finals.
