Lawrence Reassigned to Lynx

AUGUSTA, Ga..− The Augusta Lynx have announced that the Tampa Bay Lightning of the NHL have reassigned center Chris Lawrence from the Norfolk Admirals of the AHL to Augusta.

"Chris is a skilled forward with a lot of upside," Augusta Lynx Head Coach John Marks said. "I'm really looking forward to seeing what he can do here in Augusta."

Lawrence, 21, has one assist and nine penalty minutes in 10 games with the Admirals this season. The 6-foot-4, 217-pound native of Toronto had 16 points (five goals, 11 assists) and 32 penalty minutes in 53 games with the Admirals last season, his first as a professional.

Lawrence was originally selected 89th overall by Tampa Bay in the third round of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.

The Lynx return to the James Brown Arena on Friday, Nov. 21st t o take on the Florida Everblades at 7:30 p.m. for Easy Street Magazine night. The Lynx continue their homestand against the Everblades on Saturday, Nov. 22 at 7:00 p.m. for Scout Night and Hockey With a Heart, presented by the American Heart Association. The Lynx host the Dayton Bombers on Sunday, Nov. 23 at 4:00 p.m., and players will be available for autographs on the ice following the game.
