West Valley City, Utah - Three unanswered goals for Utah were not enough to complete the comeback as they fell 5-4 to Idaho Monday afternoon at the E-Center.

A 1-0 first period lead for Idaho lasted just 41 seconds as Utah tied the game at one at the 7:35 mark with Danny Stewart feeding Andy Sertich for his fifth goal of the year. However, Idaho built a 4-1 first intermission lead with three goals in a span of three minutes and ten seconds from the 10:07 mark to 13:17.

The two teams split goals in the second period with Bill Kinkel hacking in his second of the year off of a draw won by Matt Craig. Gord Burnett picked up an assist on the play as well. It was 5-2 Idaho after two periods.

The Grizzlies got goals from D.J. Jelitto and Danny Stewart in the third period. Utah had an offensive zone draw with 12.5 seconds left to go and an extra-attacker but was unable to score.

Danny Stewart extended his scoring streak to eight in the game with one goal and one assist.

The Grizzlies return to action Friday and Saturday with the Steelheads in Idaho. Face-offs both nights are scheduled for 7:10 p.m.
