Florida Everblades News Release
ESTERO, FL - The Florida Everblades finished off this past week by going 3-1-0, including 3-0-0 on the road. The Everblades head into this week's action with a record of 32-15-2 (66 pts, 2nd South Div.).
THIS WEEK (All Times Eastern)
Wednesday, February 21 & Friday, February 23 vs. Gwinnett Gladiators 7:30 p.m. (Both Games)
GAME NOTES: The Everblades open a four game home stand with a pair of games vs. the Gladiators. Gwinnett won the last meeting on Feb. 14 by a final score of 7-4 at Germain Arena. Overall the Everblades are 2-3-1 vs. Gwinnett this season and are 1-1-1 at home vs. the Gladiators. The Gladiators enter this week's action with a record of 29-15-6 (64 pts., 3rd South Div.) The Everblades hold an all-time record of 11-13-5 vs. Gwinnett and are 6-4-5 all-time at home vs. the Gladiators.
Saturday, February 24 & Tuesday, February 27 vs. Augusta Lynx 7:30 p.m. (Both Games)
GAME NOTES: The Everblades continue their four game home stand with two games against the Lynx. It is the first two played between the teams at Germain Arena this season. Overall this year, the Everblades are 4-0-0 vs. the Lynx, winning all games at Augusta. The Lynx enter this week's action with a record of 29-21-2 (60 pts., 4th South Div.). The Everblades hold an all-time record of 43-12-6 vs. Augusta and are 21-5-3 all-time at home vs. the Lynx.

Wednesday, February 14 vs. Gwinnett Gladiators 7-4 L
The Everblades suffered a 7-4 loss to the Gladiators to begin last week's action. Adam Taylor registered his first career hat-trick in the contest and Brad Parsons tallied the other Everblades goal. Florida out shot the Gladiators 30-28 but dropped to 2-3-1 vs. Gwinnett this season. In net, Craig Kowalski suffered the loss, allowing six goals on 27 shots to see his record fall to 15-8-1. Florida special teams: PP: 1-for-7, PK: 4-for-6.
Friday, February 16 at Augusta Lynx 3-1 W
The Everblades opened their three-game road trip with a 3-1 win at Augusta, their fourth at James Brown Arena this year. The Everblades scored the first three goals of the game, with Adam Taylor scoring two of them and Vince Bellissimo adding the other. Augusta's lone goal came six minutes into the third period. In net, Craig Kowalski collected the win for the Everblades by stopping 36 of 37 shots. Florida special teams: PP: 0-for-5, PK: 5-for-6.
Saturday, February 17 at South Carolina Stingrays 5-4 SOW
The Everblades picked up a big two points in the standings winning in a shootout at South Carolina. Derek Damon scored the game winning goal in the 14th round of the shootout. The game was forced to extra time when Adam Taylor scored his 13th goal of the season with under three minutes remaining in regulation. Vince Bellissimo scored a pair of goals and added two assists, while Brad Zancanaro scored the other Everblades goal in regulation. In net, Craig Kowalski picked up the win for the Everblades by stopping 24 of 28 shots in regulation and overtime, and stopped nine of 14 shooters in the shootout. Florida special teams: PP: 0-for-5, PK: 5-for-6.
Sunday, February 18 at South Carolina Stingrays 4-1 W
The Everblades completed their three game road trip with a win in South Carolina. Vince Bellissimo continued his hot streak, scoring two more goals and Derek Damon added a pair including the game-winner. In net Craig Kowalski earned the win by stopping 29 of 30 shots. Florida special teams: PP: 1-for-9, PK: 6-for-6.

All-Time 'Blades Records: Midway through the season one Everblades all-time mark has been broken and several others are being approached. Brent McDonald became the all-time games played leader on Dec. 8 when he took the ice at Pensacola. His 289th game broke the previous all-time number of 288 held by Tom Buckley. In addition, Reggie Berg became the organization's all-time leader in power play goals when he tallied his 31st all-time on the man advantage on Jan. 26 vs. Gwinnett, breaking Matt Demarski's previous high-water mark of 30. Berg is also only 10 points away from becoming the team's all-time leading point getter, as he chases Buckley's mark of 310.
Milestones Reached: Forward Brad Parsons tallied his 100th career assist with his helper on Feb. 14 vs. Gwinnett. Parsons assisted on the first of Adam Taylor's three goals that night...Defenseman Chris Dyment skated in his 200th professional game on February 18 at South Carolina.
