The Gwinnett Gladiators announced today that forward Brad Schell has been reassigned to the team from their AHL affiliate, the Chicago Wolves.

The Scott, Saskatchewan native collected a goal and an assist for the Wolves in two AHL games this past weekend while posting a +3 plus/minus rating. It was the third call up to the AHL of his career.

Under contract to the Atlanta Thrashers, Schell currently leads the ECHL in scoring with 95 points off of 21 goals and 74 assists. He leads teammate Scott Mifsud, who ranks second overall in the ECHL in scoring, by 20 points.

Schell has also set a new Gladiators' all time team record for assists (74) and points (95) in a season. The 6-foot-1, 195-pound centerman posted a career best 15 game point (8g, 24a) scoring streak from November 25th through December 30th and was named the ECHL Player of the Month for December.

He was also selected as a starter and the Captain for the American Conference Squad in the 2007 ECHL All Star Game in Boise, Idaho. Schell also collected the All Star Game's first goal for the American Conference.

Schell has posted 32 multiple point games for the Gladiators while tying a career high with 5 points (1g, 4a) for the Gladiators in an 8-3 win at South Carolina on October 29th.

Schell should be available for the Gladiators for Tuesday's 8:05 p.m., tilt at Pensacola against the Ice Pilots.
