Fresno, California - The Utah Grizzlies broke a 0-0 third period tie with three goals in a 3-0 win over Fresno Friday night.
Danny Stewart (6) got the game-winner for the Grizzlies and his second goal in two games less than four minutes into the third and Utah was up 1-0.
Chris Trick scored his first goal of the season with less than five minutes to go in the game, giving Utah an insurance goal and a 2-0 lead.
Ryan Kinasewich's 19th of the year into an empty net gave Utah a 3-0 lead in the final minute.
Rob McVicar stopped 23 shots for the first Utah shutout of the year.
The win was Utah Assistant Coach Greg Spenrath's first in Fresno since spending over ten years with the Falcons as a player and coach, ending in 2005.
The Grizzlies return to action Saturday in Fresno once again. Face-off is scheduled for 8:35 p.m.
Utah returns to the E-Center for 25 of their final 35 games in the regular season Friday, January 19 hosting Las Vegas. Face-off is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
