Fresno Falcons News Release
Fresno, Calif. - The Fresno Falcons 11-game unbeaten streak came to an end on Friday as the Utah Grizzles tallied three third period goals on their way to a 3-0 win in front of 4,250 fans at Save Mart Center.
After two scoreless periods of hockey, Utah finally broke through 3:44 into the third period. Ryan Kinasewich had the puck behind the Fresno net, and sent it back in front for Danny Stewart who beat Ryan MacDonald with a shot high over the right shoulder.
The Grizzlies took a 2-0 lead at 14:41. Stewart moved the puck to Chris Trick at the top of the right wing circle and he beat MacDonald with a one-timer for his first goal of the season.
Kinasewich tallied into an empty net at 19:26 to set the final.
The Falcons and Grizzlies conclude their two-game series on Saturday with face-off set for 7:30 p.m. at Save Mart Center. The first 2,000 fans in attendance receive a free Falcons' hat courtesy of Heald College and KISS Country 93.7. Saturday also marks the return of the Madtown Auto Stereo and Accessories Go-Carts, and one lucky fan may win a brand new truck during the Bingham Toyota Truck Shootout.
