CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Cincinnati Cyclones wore Montreal Canadiens jerseys Friday night at U.S. Bank Arena and then played like the NHL club in picking up a 4-1 win over Toledo. Cincinnati native Jason Deitsch scored a pair of goals and added an assist in directing the win. Defenseman Rory Rawlyk added two points (goal and assist), while Cedrick Desjardins turned aside 29 shots in picking up his 14th victory of the year.

Toledo opened the scoring at 5:14 of the first period, when Nick Parillo knocked home his sixth goal of the season on the power play. The Cyclones evened the score when Jason Deitsch netted his 18th goal of the season with Matt Macdonald and Sam Ftorek collecting the assists on the delayed penalty goal. That left the score knotted at 1-1 after the first frame.

In the second period, eleven power plays opportunities and two goals highlighted the frame. Cincinnati scored both goals, each on the power play, to pop open the lead to 3-1. Cory Urquhart tallied his 19th goal of the season at 14:46, as Conrad Martin and Rory Rawlyk assisted. Less than two minutes later, Rawlyk fired home his fourth goal of the campaign at 16:23. Deitsch and rookie Jon Gleed added the helpers.

Deitsch cemented the game with his second of the night and 19th of the year just 28 seconds into the final frame to close out the scoring.

The evening was highlighted by the theme of 'Montreal Canadiens Night'-with the Cyclones wearing hybrid Montreal Canadiens vintage jerseys, customized with the Cyclones colors. The Cyclones now lead the season series, 5-3, claiming victories in all four games at U.S. Bank Arena.

Despite all the power plays and the one score allowed to Toledo, the Cyclones have eliminated 47 of the last 49 shorthanded situations they have faced. Cincinnati leads the ECHL in penalty killing at 88.0 percent.

Despite the loss the Cyclones are now 19-13-1-2, holding a three point lead over Trenton for the North Division lead. Toledo is 16-16-0-1 and is in fifth place in the North Division. The Cyclones are at Reading this weekend (Saturday and Sunday).
