Florida Everblades News Release
ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades President and General Manager Craig Brush along with Head Coach Gerry Fleming announced today that forwards Ernie Hartlieb and Derek Damon have been activated from the injured reserve list, and that forward Brent McDonald has been placed on the 3-day IR. As per team policy, the injury was not disclosed.
Damon returns to the Everblades line up for the first time in six weeks. The 26-year-old suffered an injury on November 28 against Texas and has missed the last 16 games. The native of Bangor, Maine notched 13 points (4g, 9a) in the first 17 games of the season before suffering the injury. Hartlieb also returns to the lineup, coming off the 3-day IR, and having scored seven points (0g, 7a) in 25 games this season.
McDonald makes his second visit to the IR this month. Overall this season, the 27-year-old has notched 28 points (11g, 17a) in 32 games. The Olds, Alberta native, who earlier this season became the Everblades all-time leader in games played, is on pace to surpass his best professional season in 2003-04 when he tallied 55 points in 53 games.
