Johnstown, PA (January 12, 2007) - The Johnstown Chiefs defeated the Dayton Bombers by a score of 2-1 at the Nutter Center in Dayton, Ohio on Friday night.

After a scoreless first period, Dayton got on the board at 8:20 of the second period with a power-play goal when Brent Walton banged home the rebound of Brad Farynuk's shot from the point. The Chiefs evened it at the 19:50 mark of the second period when Dmitri Tarabrin picked up a loose puck in the low slot and fired it past the glove hand of Dayton goaltender Adam Berkhoel.

Morgan Cey stopped 43 shots in regulation and overtime, and then stopped all five Dayton shooters in the shootout. Johnstown's lone goal in the shootout was scored by Adam Henrich, who made a move in the low slot to get Berkhoel to go down and then buried the puck on his backhand for the shootout winner.
