Utah Grizzlies News Release

West Valley City, Utah - Lance Galbraith knocked in a rebound with 2:01 left in regulation and Beau Erickson stopped 31 of 32 shots to give the Utah Grizzlies a 3-1 win over Las Vegas Saturday night at the E-Center before 7,043 fans.

Utah drew 17,067 fans for hockey this Friday and Saturday for an average of over 8,500 fans a night.

Beau Erickson earned his first Utah win, coming up big, with 12 third period saves when the contest was still level at one.

Utah took a 1-0 lead 5:58 into the second period as Galbraith, who was knocked to the ice in his own offensive end got back up as the play shifted back to the Utah offensive zone for a breakway that was denied by Las Vegas goaltender Joel Gistedt. The puck however careened out to Matt Clarke who fired in a shot from the point for his second goal of the year.

The Wranglers though clanged a shot off of the post 1:09 later at 7:07 to tie the score. The Grizzlies protested that Erickson was interfered with on the play.

Dylan Hunter finished the scoring with an empty-net goal assisted by AJ Perry and Ryan Kinasewich with 48 seconds left.

The Grizzlies and Las Vegas complete their series Monday at the E-Center as Utah wraps up a six-game home stand. Face-off is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
