
Doug Sauter Unabale To Attend Tonight's HOF Ceremony

WHEELING,WV - Due to sever weather in the Oklahoma City area, former Thunderbirds head coach Doug Sauter will not be able to attend tonight's Hall of Fame ceremony."I want to thank the Nailers organization along with Rob and Jim Brooks for this honor and I hope that I will be able to make it back to the Ohio Valley sometime soon." said Sauter.
Along with Sauter, former Thunderbirds/Nailers beat writer Nick Bedway will be inducted into the Wheeling Hockey Hall of Fame tonight before the Nailers battle the defending Kelly Cup Champion South Carolina Stingrays. The Nailers return to home ice following tonight's game on Sunday afternoon at 3:05 pm.
Sunday is a KoSports Ice of Dreams Day and will feature an open-skate with the Nailers players after the game. Don't forget to bring your skates, gloves, and camera!

There are still openings available for the Nailers inaugural Education Field Trip Day on Tuesday, February 9th. Tickets are free for all students and teachers when the Nailers play the Johnstown Chiefs at 11:00am. All the kids will be receiving an educational book and will quizzed on the material they learn at the game when they return to the classroom. It's going to be a really fun time for the kids so get your school signed up for the special event with the Nailers by calling 304-234-GOAL.
