Las Vegas, Nevada - The Utah Grizzlies scored two third period goals to break a 1-1 tie and beat the Las Vegas Wranglers 3-1 Saturday night at Orleans Arena.

The win extends Utah's season-long unbeaten streak to eight-straight games at 4-0-1-3, their longest such stretch since 2009.

Grizzlies rookie goaltender Ben Meisner stopped 31 of 32 shots and 20 of 21 shots in the second period to keep Utah in the contest before they pulled away in the final period. Utah's penalty-kill went 4-4 in the second period in a 1-1 tie and 7-8 in the game as Las Vegas drew eight of the first eleven power-plays in the game.

Las Vegas took a 1-0 lead on a power-play goal 22 seconds into the second period, before Utah tied the game 52 seconds later at 1:22 of the period on a power-play goal of their own as Colin Vock scored his team leading 27th goal of the year. Utah won the face-off and Nick Tuzzolino and Adam Estoclet found Vock in front for the goal six seconds into the power-play.

The Grizzlies controlled the game in the third period, outshooting Las Vegas 12-3. Berkley Scott (9) broke the tie 6:08 into the third as Chris Donovan and Tommy Maxwell grinded the puck around and found the Utah rookie for his third goal in four games.

Utah made it 3-1 with 6:45 left in the game as Brent Gwidt, playing in his first pro game, centered Utah captain Riley Armstrong on an odd-man rush for his 16th score of the year as Armstrong reached out to tip the puck in. Armstrong was in his first game back after missing over two months injured.

The Grizzlies play the final road game of the regular season Sunday at 3 p.m. in Las Vegas.

The Grizzlies return home Wednesday, Friday and Saturday to host Colorado. Wednesday is a Wild $2 Wednesday with $2 Hot Dogs, $2 Fries, $2 Soft Drinks and $2 Draft Beers, plus $5 student tickets. Friday and Saturday is Fan Appreciation Weekend, that includes a post-game skate with the team after Saturday's game for the regular season home finale.
