Titans GameDay at Elmira, March 23 - Game 69 (Away 33)

March 24, 2013 - ECHL (ECHL)
Trenton Titans News Release

Last Meeting

March 20, 2013 - Murphy's Law was in full effect in Elmira, as the Jackals jumped out to a 5-0 lead through one and 7-0 after two periods, officially ending the Titans playoffs hopes with a 7-1 victory.

Final Meeting

The Titans and Jackals will play one final time to close out the year. On Friday March 29, Trenton goes to Elmira in the middle game of a 3-game road trip.

Record (Home/Away); Streaks

Wheeling: 9-20-2-3 Road, with two wins in Trenton (4-6 in last 10 on the road). The Nailers are 5-4-0-1 in their last 10 overall. Trenton: 17-14-2-2 Home (5-5 in last 10 at home including 2-1 in OT/SO). The Titans are 6-4 overall in their last 10.

The Mad Hatter

Shane Harper has scored hat tricks in back-to-back nights for the first time in Trenton history. He is also the 2nd player to do it this year (Colin Vock of Utah, February 1-2). If he can turn the trick again today, he will be just the 5th player in ECHL history to do it in three straight games. In the last 3 games against Elmira, Harper has a goal and two assists.

Apples To Apples

Jacob Cepis has started to distribute apples more often than the state of Washington.

A Top-20 scorer and team leader with 46 assists, Cepis had six assists in a weekend sweep of Wheeling, including his 2nd 4-assist game this month last night. In the last eight games, he has picked up 15 assists.

Wild East Shootouts

Elmira-Trenton games usually go to the wire, but the last 3 in Elmira have been blowouts. Elmira has won the last two (7-1, 8-1), with Trenton winning 8-5 on January 18.
