WHEN: 4:05 p.m.
The Jackals are facing the Titans tonight for the 15th of 16 meetings and seventh of eight at First Arena. The Jackals are 9-4-1 against Trenton this season which includes a 4-2-0 mark on home ice. Elmira has not been very friendly to Trenton in its last two trips here. The Jackals have won both games by a combined 15-2 score. Jordan Pietrus has been dominant with eight points (3G, 5A) in those games. With 13 goals scored in their last two games against Trenton, the Jackals are averaging 4.8 goals per game against the Titans. Trenton has held Elmira under three goals twice this season and won both games. The Jackals have fashioned a record of 33-10-3 when scoring three or more goals in a game.
Despite last night's win over Fort Wayne, the Jackals actually saw their magic number to clinch fourth place, and home ice advantage for the first round of the playoffs, rise because of Florida's win and South Carolina's loss. With the Everblades now holding the fifth spot, the Jackals magic number sits at seven. Florida can max out at 89 points if it wins its remaining four games, while the Jackals can max out at 91. Each of Florida's last four games (two home, two away) are against Orlando who the Everblades are 5-4-3 against.
Mark your calendars! The Jackals are back on First Arena ice on Friday, March 29, 2013 to take on the Trenton Titans at 7:05 p.m. The Jackals will be auctioning off their navy blue game-worn jerseys right after the game as part of Fan Appreciation Night festivities! Groups of 10 or more are eligible for discounted tickets and preferred seating based on availability. Call 607-734-7825 to book your group outing. Pro-rated season ticket packages are on sale, as well. Season tickets offer the best value for Jackals fans.
