
Grizzlies Drop Wranglers, 3-1

Las Vegas - The Las Vegas Wranglers fell 3-1 to the Utah Grizzlies tonight, ending a three-game winning streak in front of 6,543 fans.
Wranglers goaltender Mitch O'Keefe and Grizzlies goaltender Ben Meisner held the first period scoreless as Utah took the 12-8 shot advantage. Only 22 seconds into the second, on a carryover power play, Wranglers center Eric Lampe put the team on the board for a 1-0 lead. Utah was quick to respond, and 52 seconds later, it was a tie game on a power play goal from Grizzlies forward Colin Vock.
The 1-1 score held until early into the third, when Utah took their first lead of the night off the stick of forward Berkley Scott. Grizzlies forward Riley Armstrong secured the 3-1 lead, and victory, for his team seven minutes later, giving Utah the first win of the two-game weekend series.
The Wranglers play their final regular-season game against the Grizzlies tomorrow at 2:05 p.m. The game will also be the final post-game skate with the team, and fans can borrow a limited amount of ice skates for free. After the weekend, the Wranglers next play the Ontario Reign on Tuesday, March 26.
