Gladiators to participate in Gwinnett's great days of service
October 14, 2005 - ECHL (ECHL)
Atlanta Gladiators News Release
The Gwinnett Gladiators announced today that they will participate in the 2005 Gwinnett County "Great Days of Service" campaign which takes place on Friday, October 28th and Saturday, October 29th throughout Gwinnett County. This county-wide effort is being led by the Gwinnett Coalition for Health and Human Services.
The Gladiators, The Arena at Gwinnett Center, Proof of the Pudding and the Gladiators Booster Club will be holding a new toy drive that will benefit Gwinnett's non-profit agencies and will help them prepare for the upcoming holidays. New toys and gift cards will be collected throughout the week of October 24th through 29th.
"This is a program that we have supported for three years," said Jim Hall, the Gladiators Director of Community Relations. "One of the key goals of our Organization is to help in Gwinnett County whenever and however we can. In light of the recent influx of new people to Gwinnett caused by the Hurricanes, this is a great way to help some of those kids affected the most by helping to brighten up their Holidays."
New toys and gift cards will be collected at the Gladiators Administrative Offices in the Gwinnett Center Performing Arts Building and will be distributed to area non-profit organizations, especially those hit hard by the recent events down on the Gulf Coast.
