Taylor joins Salmon Kings training camp

Victoria, BC - Head Coach and General Manager Bryan Maxwell announced today that forward Adam Taylor has joined the Victoria Salmon Kings training camp.

The 6'1 - 200lbs native of Courtenay, BC was the seventh round (224th overall) draft pick of the Carolina Hurricanes in the 2002 NHL entry draft and joins the Salmon Kings from the University of British Columbia.

"To be able to add Adam at such a late date is a real plus for our hockey club," said Head Coach and General Manager of the Victoria Salmon Kings Bryan Maxwell. "He is a very durable and reliable defensive centreman."

Taylor has played the past four seasons in the Western Hockey League with the Kootenay Ice and did not miss a game in that time. Taylor has had consistent production over the last two seasons recording 20 goals and 32 assists for 52 points in 2004-05 and 19 goals and 33 assists for 52 points in 2003-04.

The Victoria Salmon Kings travel to Powell River to take on the Senior ‘AAA' Regals for two exhibition games on Saturday October 15th and Sunday October 16th. Tickets are available at the Powell River Recreation Complex on game day. Tickets are $10.00 for adults, $8.00 for students and seniors, $6.00 for kids 6-12 and kids under 6 are free.

The Salmon Kings regular season begins on Friday October 21st in Fresno, CA against the Falcons. Their first game in the brand new Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre is on Thursday November 10th against the Stockton Thunder.
