Entertainment Team Entries Narrowed To Seven

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors and Clear Channel Radio have selected seven finalists for the Entertainment Team naming contest. The entries have been placed online for the public to vote on the winner. Fans can vote for the winner online at www.bakersfieldcondors.com. Contest voting will end Friday, October 21st, at 5:00pm.
The Condors narrowed down the 99 entries to these seven finalists: Condorettes, Condors Cadettes, Ice Angels, Icy Hots, Freeze Team, Fly Girls and Puck Angels.
The winning name will be revealed at the home opener on Saturday, October 22nd. The person who submitted the winning entry will receive four season tickets for the 2005-06 season.
The team of 15 will participate in in-game promotions, interact with fans and dance on the ice at select home games. The team will also be involved with the Condors community programs, charity events, and educational programs.
The Condors October 15th pre-season match against the Fresno Falcons will start at 7:00pm, when the puck drops. Doors open at 6:00pm.
The box office at the Rabobank Arena is open 10:00am to 6:00pm today and on Saturday from 10:00am to 8:00pm. Tickets can be purchased by calling TicketMaster at 322-2525 or online at www.bakersfieldcondors.com.
The Bakersfield Condors open their 2005-06 ECHL campaign in 8 days at home on October 22nd against the Victoria Salmon Kings.
