TRENTON, NJ (October 14, 2005) - The Trenton Titans announced on Friday the Philadelphia Phantoms of the American Hockey League (AHL) have reassigned defenseman Stephen Wood to Trenton.
Wood, 24, was originally called up to the Phantoms on October 7, but did not dress for their first two games. The Sudbury, Massachusetts product has appeared in 28 games with the Philadelphia Phantoms since 2004 chipping in 2 assists. Last year, the second-year pro posted 3 goals, 14 assists, and 83 penalty minutes in 42 games in his rookie season with the Titans.
The Titans hit the ice for the first time in 2005-06 for their sold-out exhibition match against the Reading Royals on Saturday, October 15 at 7:00pm at Princeton Sports Arena.
The Trenton Titans will raise the banner and receive their rings to commemorate their Kelly Cup Championship on Opening Night against the Wheeling Nailers on Saturday, October 22 at 7:00pm at Sovereign Bank Arena. Tickets are still available by calling (609) 599-9500.
