Cloutier recalled and trade made

Pensacola, Fla. - The 2004-2005 Brabham Cup Champion Pensacola Ice Pilots announced that goalie Frederic Cloutier has been recalled to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the AHL. The Ice Pilots also acquired forward Bryson Busniuk (pronounced bus-nick) from the Columbia Inferno to complete an earlier trade.

Cloutier played in 48 regular season games last season with the Ice Pilots posting a record of 32-12-3 with a 2.37 goals against average and .928 save percentage and also played in all four Kelly Cup Playoff games posting a record of 1-3 with a 2.69 goals against average and .909 save percentage.

Busniuk, who stands 6'2" and weighs 185 pounds, played in 54 games last season with Columbia scoring 13 goals, 12 assists for 25 points picking up 31 penalty minutes. He played for Ice Pilots Head Coach Rick Adduono with the Greensboro Generals during the 2003-04 season scoring 10 goals, 12 assists for 22 points picking up 41 penalty minutes in 38 games played.

Busniuk also played in the AHL with Binghamton and with Muskegon of the UHL. He played college hockey at University of Vermont and in the USHL for Thunder Bay. Busniuk is 25 years old from Thunder Bay, Ontario and shoots left.

The Ice Pilots will play two home preseason games beginning tonight and tomorrow night at 7:05 p.m. Prices of tickets are $11 for lower level seats and $6 for upper level seats.

The Ice Pilots will begin their tenth anniversary season at home on Friday, October 21 vs. Greenville at 7:05 p.m. and play home to Gwinnett on Saturday, October 22 at 7:05 p.m. Fans can purchase individual game tickets in person at the Civic Center box office, at any Ticketmaster location, charge by phone at 434-7444 or through the Ice Pilots website at www.icepilots.com.
