
Everblades recieve Kowalski from Lowell

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades president & general manager Craig Brush, along with head coach Gerry Fleming announced today that goaltender Craig Kowalski has been re-assigned to the Everblades from the Lowell Lock Monsters of the American Hockey League.
Kowalski, who will be in uniform for the Everblades pre-season game against Toledo tonight, was initially assigned to the Everblades on October 6, but was re-called the Lowell the next day because of an injury. The former 8th round draft pick of the Carolina Hurricanes in 2000, returns for his second season with the Everblades after posting a 13-6-6 record with a 2.87 goals against average and a .906 save percentage in his 27 games played last year. The 24-year-old also posted a 3-0 record in his six playoff games during the 2005 Kelly Cup Playoffs. Prior to turning pro Kowalski played four seasons at Northern Michigan University where he compiled a 68-49-12 record in 132 career games. The Clinton Township, Michigan native posted his best numbers at Northern Michigan during the 2001-02 season when he collected 24 wins and posted a 2.35 GAA and a .916 save percentage.
To make room for Kowalski on their roster, the Everblades released goaltender Cam McCormick from his try-out contract.
The Everblades open the 2005-06 season on Friday, October 21 vs. the Las Vegas Wranglers at 7:30 p.m. from Germain Arena! Everblades 2005-06 full season, half season, group tickets, and individual game tickets are on sale now!
