DULUTH, Ga. - The Gladiators (5-4-0-0) will look to avenge their disappointing 3-2 loss to the Greenville Road Warriors (7-4-0-0) last night with another game tonight at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena. The Glads had a 2-1 lead early in the third period, thanks to goals from Greg Carey (his fifth straight for the team) and Nathan Burns (his first career professional goal), but Greenville powered their way back into the lead on goals from Ryan Hegarty and Josh Nicholls.

With the win last night, the Road Warriors catapulted themselves into the top slot in the East Division (14 pts), meaning Gwinnett will face the top two teams in the East Division (Florida - 13pts - on Sunday) over the next three days.

Glads Notes:

On the Road Again: After playing six of the first seven games this season at The Arena at Gwinnett Center, the Gladiators will spend the majority of the rest of November on the road, with five more road games planned, compared to three home games.

He Ain't Joking Around: Arizona Coyotes prospect Greg Carey achieved the Gladiators' 22nd hat trick on Sunday, bursting out for four goals on six shots against the South Carolina Stingrays. In the midst of that scoring explosion, Carey achieved a natural hat trick, the team's first in over seven years. He became the fourth Gladiator in history to achieve either a four-goal game or score a natural hat trick:

- Pascal Pelletier (4g and Natural Hat Trick): 12/13/05

- Steve Slaton (Natural Hat Trick): 4/8/06

- Colton Fretter (4g): 10/29/06

- Colton Fretter (Natural Hat Trick): 2/9/07

- Greg Carey (4g and Natural Hat Trick): 11/9/14

First Up: This season, the Gladiators are 3-0 when scoring first, 3-0 when leading after the first period, and 4-0 when leading after two. This continues a trend from last season, when the team was markedly better when scoring first (22-13-2-0), and leading after the first (16-6-0-0) and second (21-0-0-0) periods.

Batten Down the Hatches: When the Gladiators score three or more goals, they are 5-0, when they allow two goals or less, they are 4-0, and when they have a perfect penalty kill, they are 3-0.

Gladiators Ahoy: Three players currently on the Gladiators roster have been assigned from their AHL affiliate, the Portland Pirates-Greg Carey, Nathan Burns, and Dyson Stevenson - and four more - Joel Hanley (POR), Dan O'Donoghue (POR), Jordon Southorn (POR) and Bretton Stamler (HFD) - were assigned to Gwinnett and have since been recalled to the AHL.

Milestones: Joe Stejskal played in his 100th ECHL contest last night, and he is seven away from his 200th professional game ... Casey Pierro-Zabotel is two games away from his 300th ECHL game ... Nathan Burns scored his first professional goal last night.
