TONIGHT
The Bakersfield Condors begin a weekend set on home ice against the Idaho Steelheads. Tonight's game is the second of 11 between the two sides. They previously met on Oct. 24, 2014 in Bakersfield with the Steelheads scoring a late shorthanded goal to take a 3-2 win. The series shifts to Boise for three games in the first week of December.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT
Bakersfield took six of a possible eight points in Anchorage against the Alaska Aces last week, winning Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. G Ty Rimmer picked up two of the three wins while G Frans Tuohimaa made his first start on Wednesday for Bakersfield and stopped 40 shots to earn the victory. The Condors overcame a 2-0 deficit in Sunday's game, but a late power-play goal from C Connor Jones proved to be the difference in a 4-3 win over the Aces.
Idaho is in the midst of a busy stretch, playing four games in five nights. They hosted Alaska on Tuesday and Wednesday before flying to Bakersfield on Thursday. After falling on Tuesday, the Steelheads earned a split in a big way on Wednesday, scoring four times in the first period en route to a 6-2 win over the Aces. F Wade MacLeod scored twice and was +3 in the win.
