TONIGHT:
The Ontario Reign (38-18-4-5) conclude their two-game road trip against the Bakersfield Condors (24-34-3-5). Ontario has a 6-2-1-2 record against Bakersfield this season, and has won the last five consecutive matches against the Condors, outscoring the team by a 20-8 margin. Ontario is 46-27-10 all-time against Bakersfield since the two clubs began competition against each other in 2008-09.
SHEEN CAN PASS KRAEMER FOR GAMES PLAYED RECORD:
Alternate captain Everett Sheen is poised to dress in his 217th game in a Reign uniform tonight, which will allow him to pass Kyle Kraemer for the most regular season games played in team history. The College of the Holy Cross alumnus began his career with the Reign in a trade with the Reading Royals midway through the 2011-12 season, and along with captain Derek Couture is the longest-tenured active player on the current roster.
CLIMBING ECHL COACHING WINS LADDER:
Jason Christie is only two wins back from tying John Brophy (Hampton Roads, 1989-2000 and Wheeling, 2001-03) for second all-time in ECHL head coaching wins with 480.
OLKINUORA ONE WIN AWAY FROM HISTORY:
With 36 career wins in a Reign uniform, Jussi Olkinuora's next victory will give him sole possession of first place of the club's career wins record, currently shared with Chris Carrozzi, who suited up with the Reign from 2011-13.
