ECHL Announces Fines, Suspensions

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL on Saturday announced the following fines and suspensions.

Indy's Bruneteau fined, suspended

Indy's Nick Bruneteau has been suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #678, Reading at Indy, on March 27.

Brunteau was assessed a major penalty and game misconduct for boarding under Rule #41.5 at 10:12 of the third period. He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.

Bruneteau will miss Indy's game against South Carolina tonight (March 28).

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.

Ontario's Ezekiel fined, suspended

Ontario's Norm Ezekiel has been suspended for two games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #681, Ontario at Bakersfield, on March 27.

Ezekiel was assessed a major penalty and game misconduct for boarding under Rule #41.5 at 5:09 of the first period. He is fined under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.

Ezekiel will miss Ontario's games at Bakersfield tonight (March 28) and vs. Bakersfield on April 1.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.

Florida's Aviani fined

Florida's Mike Aviani has been fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #676, Florida at Elmira, on March 27.

Aviani is fined under Rule #64.2 as a result of his second diving penalty of the season at 13:37 of the third period.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.
