Buzzeo Signs with Gwinnett

DULUTH, Ga. - The Gwinnett Gladiators announced that they have signed forward Justin Buzzeo to an ECHL contract on Saturday. Buzzeo just completed his senior season at Ferris State University of the WCHA.

Buzzeo, 25, scored nine goals and 13 assists in 40 games for the Bulldogs this season. His best year came in 2013-14, when he was tied for first on the team with 32 points (14 goals, 18 assists).

Along with current Gladiator Travis Ouellette, the Bulldogs reached the NCAA Championship game in Buzzeo's freshman season of 2011-12.

The Windsor, Ontario native will join the Gladiators ahead of their 7:00 p.m. home game tonight against the Greenville Road Warriors.

The Gladiators are members of the ECHL, the nation's premier "AA" hockey league, and are affiliated with the Arizona Coyotes of the NHL. All home games are played at the 11,355-seat Arena at Gwinnett Center, located just off I-85 on Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth - where parking is always free.
