HOCKEY-THON
This is the 11th annual Condors Fighting Cancer Hockey-Thon, which has raised over $350,000 in the battle against cancer over the years. Participants have been playing hockey since late last night, and the event concludes at the Condors game this evening with an Alumni Game starting at 5 p.m. There will be an auction throughout the night, of both Alumni Hockey-Thon jerseys and unique items displayed on the concourse. The proceeds benefit Relay for Life.
TONIGHT
The Bakersfield Condors host the Ontario Reign for the second straight night on the weekend. After starting the season 5-1-0-0 against Ontario, Bakersfield has dropped the last five, scoring just eight goals in the process. The season series shifts to the Inland Empire next week, with meetings Wednesday and Friday in Ontario.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT
Bakersfield surrendered a goal on the first shot of the game and never recovered, falling 5-1 Friday night to Ontario in the weekend opener. F Nick MacNeil scored his 11th of the season in the third period to put the Condors on the board. Rookie F Brent Darnell notched an assist on the goal for a point in his first professional game.
