RHP Zack Brown (2-4, 5.73) vs. LHP Cionel Perez (1-1, 5.80)
Zippy: The Missions blanked the Express 3-0 last night to secure their 11th shutout victory of the season. Their 11 shutouts are the most in Triple-A. The last time the Missions had back-to-back shutouts came on April 21-22 at Nashville.
Next Man Up: With the call-ups of PCL All-Stars Keston Hiura and Tyler Saladino to the Milwaukee Brewers the Missions are now without two of their top three run producers. Saladino paces the Missions with 57 RBI while Hiura is tied with David Freitas for the second most RBI with 46. The 103 combined RBI from Hiura and Saladino make up 25.7% of the runs driven in by San Antonio. Hiura's 19 home runs are tops on the team followed by Saladino's 14.
Orf's Success: Nate Orf has recorded a hit in 11 of his last 13 games including six multi-hit games. During that span he has driven in nine runs and upped his batting average from .277 to .292.
Scared Hitless: Burch Smith, Deolis Guerra, Donnie Hart, and Taylor Williams combined to allow just one hit in last night's game. The only other game this season in which the Missions allowed just one hit in a game came in a seven-inning game, game two of their doubleheader on April 21 at Nashville. San Antonio has allowed just 600 hits this season, which are the fewest allowed by any pitching staff in all of Triple-A baseball.
