Ben Bowden Named to 2019 All-Star Futures Game

Isotopes pitcher Ben Bowden has been selected to participate in the 2019 All-Star Futures Game, as announced by Major League Baseball. Bowden will be the only representative from the Rockies to participate in the Futures Game.

In 28 games between Double-A Hartford and Triple-A Albuquerque, the left-hander has registered a 1.30 ERA (4er/27.2ip). The Massachusetts has held opposing hitters to a .111 batting averaging, while recording a .065 WHIP.

Bowden was selected in the second round of the 2016 First-Year Player Draft from Vanderbilt University. He was promoted to Albuquerque on June 20 and made his Triple-A debut on June 22.

Bowden, 24, is the eighth Isotope to be named to a Futures Team. The last Albuquerque player to participate in the Futures Game was Ryan McMahon in 2017.
