Isan Diaz with a 4 Hit Night Leads 'Cakes to Win

Oklahoma City - A huge day for second baseman Isan Diaz, he was selected to play in the MLB Futures Game during the afternoon and delivered a four hit performance with a home run and four runs batted in as the Baby Cakes defeated OKC 9-7. The win gets the 'Cakes a split in the series.

Robert Dugger earned the win pitching five innings. Brian Moran delivered three shutout frames followed by the eleventh save of the season for RJ Alvarez.

Lewis Brinson and Peter O'Brien each added home runs in the 'Cakes offensive attack. The 'Cakes also matched a season high with five stolen bases in the game.

New Orleans scored runs in each of the fist six innings of the game. The 'Cakes improved to 44-37 and trail first place San Antonio by six games.

GAME NOTES- Miami recalled reliever Jeff Brigham and assigned catcher Wilkin Castillo to the 'Cakes. Major League Baseball announced that Isan Diaz and Monte Harrison will participate in the Futures Game at this years All-Star Week in Cleveland. Miami will also send pitcher Sixto Sanchez, currently pitching at Class AA Jacksonville.

New Orleans stole five bases in the game, the club has 92 stolen bases for the season and have stolen at least two bases in five of the last six games.
