ABOUT LAST NIGHT: Despite scoring a run in each of their first two innings, the Indians dropped their fourth consecutive game to the Clippers on Saturday night, 4-2. After an RBI single in the first by Rodolfo Castro, Hoy Park tallied the Indians second run in as many innings with a solo shot over the center field fence to take a quick 2-0 lead. Indy would be held scoreless for the remainder of the contest after grabbing a pair of runs in the first two innings. The Clippers strung together three consecutive innings with a run scored to take the lead. Oscar Mercado plated the go-ahead run with a triple to score Bo Naylor. With the win on Saturday, the Clippers earned a series victory to make the even the season series (1-1-1) after three meetings.

MAGNIFICENT MATSON: Zach Matson extended his scoreless streak to 7.2 innings after posting a zero in his 1.0 inning of work last night. This is his longest scoreless streak since he had thrown 10.2 scoreless innings with Double-A Altoona (4/26-5/22) prior to being promoted to Triple-A. In his first eight appearances (three starts) with Indy, he was 0-1 with a 7.94 ERA (10er/11.1ip) with 14 hits allowed, seven walks and seven strikeouts. Since June 29, he owns a 0.00 ERA (0er/7.2ip) in six appearances (three starts) with three hits allowed, three walks and four strikeouts. He now has an extra-base hit in three of four games with Indy and is hitting .429 (6-for-14) with a home run, two doubles, three RBI and four runs scored. After suffering a hamstring injury during spring training, he has been sidelined for the first half of the season and has yet to make his Pirates debut.
