Stripers Fall 4-0 to Bulls in Series Finale

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - The Gwinnett Stripers (44-46) lost 4-0 to the Durham Bulls (48-42) in the final game before the All-Star Break on Sunday afternoon at Coolray Field. The Stripers were held to two hits as they finished with a split of the six-game series.

Decisive Plays: Tristan Gray launched a two-run home run (19) off Gwinnett starter Nolan Kingham (L, 2-2) in the second inning. Jonathan Aranda added a two-run double in the fifth off Connor Johnstone to extend the lead to 4-0.

Key Contributors: Pat Valaika snapped Durham's perfect game bid in the eighth, slapping a leadoff single up the middle. Greyson Jenista added a double in the ninth inning. For Durham, Aranda went 2-for-4 with a double, walk, and two RBIs.

Noteworthy: Gwinnett is now 5-9 in games decided by shutout this season. The Stripers also suffered their 10th straight loss in a series finale, dropping to 3-12 overall.
