Wichita is 0-1-0-0 vs. Rapid City

HEAD TO HEAD - This is the third and final meeting of the season between the Thunder and the Rush. All-time, Wichita is 20-32-6 against Rapid City and 12-17-2 on the road in the series.

TODAY - Wichita and Rapid City play for the final time to close out the regular season series. The Thunder won last night by the final of 3-1 and tied the series at one game apiece. The story of the game was special teams, as Wichita scored once on the power play while blanking Rapid City on their seven power play chances. With Quad City defeating Tulsa last night, the Rush were officially eliminated from playoff contention. After tonight, Wichita will face the Oilers three times next week to close out the regular season. Rapid City is led by Ryan Walters, who has 55 points (23g, 32a) and Lindsay Sparks, who has 39 points (14g, 25a). Kale Kerbashian leads the Thunder with 42 points (14g, 28a).

LAND OF OZ - Landon Oslanski recorded his 10th power play goal of the year last night. He has goals in back-to-back games and 12 on the season. Oslanski leads all ECHL defenseman in power play goals, tied for second in power play points (19) and second in shots on net with 184.

TEAM LEAD - Kenton Miller took over the team-lead in goals last night with his 15th of the season. He beat Sam Marotta on a breakaway with less than six minutes to go in the second. It was his fourth game-winner of the year.

PRINCETON PRIDE - Sean Bonar won his sixth game of the year last night and third in a Thunder uniform. He is 3-4-1 since coming to Wichita with a GAA of 2.48 and a .918 save percentage. Bonar's overall record is 6-8-1 with a GAA of 2.82 and a .906 save percentage.

IDES OF MARCH - Wichita closed out the month of March on a high note. The Thunder finished 6-5-0, going 3-3-0 at home and 3-2-0 on the road. The only other month that the team was above .500 was in October, when the Thunder finished 4-3-0.

END OF THE ROAD - Wichita played its first road game last night in over two weeks and won its first road contest since March 6th. Over the team's six-game homestand, the Thunder went 3-3-0. Wichita has three games left on the road including tonight and two home games next week against Tulsa.

RAPID CITY NOTES - Lindsay Sparks and Ryan Walters have been solid editions for the Rush with Walters tallying 14 points in 13 games (4g, 10a) and Sparks recording 25 points in 27 games (8g, 17a)...Rapid City is 9-1-2-0 when leading after one...Rapid City is 16-5-1-2 when tied after one...
