The contest is the final game of the season series that has been dominated by South Carolina. The Stingrays are 6-0-0-1 this season versus Orlando.
LAST NIGHT'S CONTEST
The Stingrays claimed a 2-1 victory last night over Orlando to start the final home weekend of the regular season. The game-winning goal came from Patrick Gaul with just over eight minutes to play to secure the victory. Derek DeBlois also scored, and Mark Dekanich stopped 30 shots. The Stingrays are now 6-0-0-1 versus Orlando this season, with all three games at the North Charleston Coliseum finishing with a 2-1 score.

PLAYOFF UPDATE
Entering tonight's game, the South Carolina Stingrays and the Orlando Solar Bears both have a lot to play for. The Stingrays (91 points) enter tonight's game just two points behind Eastern Conference leading Toledo (93 points) through 68 games. The Stingrays are now three points ahead of Florida (88 points) for the South Division lead after Florida lost to Atlanta last night, 6-4. Florida has only played 67 games, one less than South Carolina. While South Carolina has clinched a playoff berth, Orlando is fighting for a spot in the post-season. The Solar Bears (71 points) are currently in 10th place, five points behind 8th place Wheeling (76 points) for the final playoff spot.
HOT SAUCE
The Stingrays are welcoming a new face to the lineup tonight. Defenseman Colton Saucerman has joined the team out of Northeastern and will wear #3 for the Stingrays.
