Tonight

A challenging three-in-three continues for the Saskatoon Blades (26-17-1-1) as they head north into Alberta's capital to face the Edmonton Oil Kings (34-11-2-1).

This is the fifth meeting of the season between the two conference heavyweights, with both teams earning a pair of victories in the season series thus far.

Saskatoon is coming off a 5-3 setback in Red Deer to open up a five-game road trip, which included a pair of goals from NHL Draft-eligible forward Brandon Lisowsky.

Import forward Egor Sidorov also netted a goal, his fifth in three games, in the loss. Following tonight's game, the Blades will head three hours south to Calgary to face the Hitmen Sunday afternoon.

Who to Watch

NHL Draft-eligible forward Brandon Lisowsky continues to turn heads, netting his 25th and 26th goals of the season last night in Red Deer. He sits second in goals-scored among WHL players entering their draft year, however was unselected in the annual CHL Top Prospects game. The Port Coquitlam, BC product has seven goal in his last nine games.

Import forward Egor Sidorov is finding his scoring touch, scoring five goals over the last three games. This includes netting his first career hat-trick last Saturday in a 6-2 win over Connor Bedard and the Regina Pats. The Belarusian winger is up to 15 goals on the season, and leads the team in rookie scoring with 24 points in 35 games.

2002-born winger Kyle Crnkovic continues to set the pace in the WHL scoring race, becoming the first player to reach the 70-point plateau last night with an assist in Red Deer. The Chestermere, AB product is firing on all cylinders, collecting 17 points in the last nine games.

Tale of the Tape

Saskatoon dons a 2-2-0-0 record against the Oil Kings this season, which includes a statement 6-1 victory on February 4th at SaskTel Centre.

Veteran netminder Nolan Maier earned the game's first star with 38-saves, while WHL leading-scorer Kyle Crnkovic notched a goal and two assists.

Three of the four games between these two have taken place at SaskTel Centre.

The lone match at Rogers Place saw Edmonton get the upper hand in a 5-2 decision on November 28th.

Over the last five years, the Blades have only won once at Rogers Place, going 1-4-0-0 during that stretch.

This season, The Saskatoon Blades have partnered with Nutrien to launch the "Saves for Hunger" Campaign. For every save a Blades netminder makes this season, Nutrien is donating $5 to a local organization. Blades goaltenders have made 1289 saves so far, running the tally up to $6445 raised as the team heads to Alberta's capital.
