Spokane, Wash. - A three-goal third period amidst four unanswered goals saw the Winterhawks (38-17-3-3) win their second straight game, knocking off the Chiefs (14-39-3-4) 5-2 in Spokane on Friday.

Robbie Fromm-Delorme starred with two tallies, while Luca Cagnoni picked up two assists and Josh Zakreski scored the game-winning goal.

Carter Sotheran helped the Hawks strike early, rushing down the right-wing side and slipping a seeing-eye shot under Dawson Cowan from the right circle just 4:04 into the contest. Two Spokane tallies in six minutes from Raegan Wiles and Cade Hayes gave the hosts a 2-1 lead midway through the frame, but the Hawks responded with Fromm-Delorme's first to knot things up at two before the second intermission. Cruising through the slot, Fromm-Delorme deflected a Cagnoni shot from range past Cowan's left foot with under four minutes to play in the period.

From there, the Winterhawks built on the positive momentum and broke through once more on Zakreski's ninth of the year at 12:30 of the third. The rookie winger collected a Cagnoni pass at the left circle and ripped a shot into the far-side top corner for the eventual game-winner. Four minutes later, Fromm-Delorme doubled his goal total with some slick work in front on the power play, and a Marcus Nguyen empty-netter sealed things up soon after.

Jan Špunar stood tall in Portland's net, stopped 30 of 32 shots for his second straight win. The Winterhawks are back in action tomorrow in Kennewick as they take on the Americans at 6:05 P.M. at Toyota Center.
