ICE Win Over Edmonton in Overtime

Winnipeg ICE forward Ty Nash scored the game winning goal 3:08 into overtime for a 5-4 victory Friday night over the visiting Edmonton Oil Kings.

Zack Ostapchuk scored twice for the ICE while Matthew Savoie and Josh Medernach rounded out the attack. Connor McClennon finished the game with three assists. Evan Friesen and Jonas Woo each chipped in with two helpers as the homeside improved its record to 51-9-1.

Loick Daigle, Cole Miller, Rilen Kovacevic and Mason Finley replied for Edmonton.

Winnipeg outshot the Oil Kings 30-17. Mason Beaupit earned the victory in goal while Logan Cunningham suffered the loss.

Edmonton finished the game 3/5 on the power play. Winnipeg went 1/3.

The ICE conclude their three game homestand Sunday afternoon, 5:00 at the ICE Cave inside Wayne Fleming Arena in the Battle of Manitoba presented by Taylor McCaffery Lawyers against the Brandon Wheat Kings.
